Primaries for what?
We always prepare to vote, while they always prepare to cheat.
Does it really matter?
“Why was this even posted? Allow me to repeat your question. Primaries for what?”
For elective offices.

I highly recommend getting the scrapple when you are at this Dutch Diner. Not sure what they put into this scrapple but it is really good.
A few years back, I stayed at a local motel in Fracksville as I was on a long road trip. Around sunset, after checking into my room, I decided to check out the night life and maybe get myself a burger and a couple of beers.
Well it was slim picking as far as taverns went. I found a hole-in-the-wall place that still had strings of Christmas lights around it (it was summer), sat at the bar and ordered a burger with a frosty mug of beer. Mostly country music was playing which was okay by me as it was the "urban cowboy" country sound from the early 1980s like Ronnie Milsap, Juice Newton, Eddie Rabbit, Anne Murray and Charlie Daniels. Not a bad vibe. Only a handful of people, who looked to be regulars. Though I was obviously an outsider, they left me alone and the bartender was unfailingly polite and quick to refill my beer, though he did not attempt to strike up any kind of conversation.
I remember walking back to the hotel after what might have been my fourth or fifth beer, the last one with a shot of bourbon, if I remember correctly. What the hell, I was walking back to the hotel and had nothing to really do when I got back there. Internet connection was crap.
The walk back was a bit eerie. It was a hot, humid night. Streets were totally empty. Heat lightning lit up the sky from a distance. It was a little creepy how quiet this town was. Nobody really hassled me however. I got back to the room and turned on the TV set, which looked like it was a model from the 1980s. HBO and some other movie channel was offered and I ended up watching an obscure Martin Scorcese flick called "King For A Day" starring Jerry Lewis and Robert DeNiro, who played a character that looked nothing at all like Robert DeNiro, except you could tell it was him because of the mole on his face.
The one woman who the DeNiro character had to go through to get to the Jerry Lewis character (who was a late night TV show host like Johnny Carson), was pretty hot looking, I do remember that.
I remember being surprised by how good this movie was and how I have never heard of it before. I don't remember too much about the plot but it had to do with the DeNiro character fantasizing about being on his own late night talk show and so he and some crazy woman kidnaps the Jerry Lewis character and takes over the show - for one night. Hence, "King For A Day."
Postcript: I looked up the movie on IDMB and the actual title is "King Of Comedy."
Anyhow, this was a little bit about Pennsylvania pre-primary election to go with the body of your thread. Get out and vote tomorrow all you schmucks! And all you schmucks in Kentucky too. I have no idea who is running in those two states but vote for somebody good, you all.
Good wake-up post! As a Floridian, I realize that local elections can be as important as national as far as personal freedom is concerned.
