I’ve been watching the Trump vs. DeSantis showdown here and have a few questions. I voted for Trump twice, worked the phones and poll watched for him and am convinced he was the only one for regular Americans. He had the right policies for us. I have two concerns. He is supposedly a germaphobe and I think that influenced his decisions regarding Covid. He also didn’t have a team behind him. Many stabbed him in the back. How would it be different if he was elected for another term?
Regarding Desantis, I watched some of his Iowa stuff and he seems to say the right things. He may even be to the right of Trump on some issues. He also seems to have a good argument about what he’s done in Florida. He doesn’t have Trump’s suburban housewife baggage (who my wife of 31 yrs asked how many times Trump’s been married - she voted for him and we’re not voting for a Pope) but I’m sure they’ll come up with something to hang on him. I know that many have said that he’s beholden to big donors.
I’m on team fight it out for the nomination, After that, I’m on team how do you fix the rig and how do you win I haven’t heard any of that from anyone.
Then we should support all the freedom movements in India.
Being wealthy because one is skillful and provides a service people want and because one has connections to the government are different things. Rich people who made money due to the government giving them an advantage oppose Trump.
Trump built a bit of wall; Congress fought him every step of the way.
Trump cut taxes. It’s been good for the economy. The COVID restrictions undid a lot of that, however, and now Biden is taking credit for the good effects of reopening.
But there was a lot undone. Partly, that was because of Trump’s penchant for picking the wrong personnel.

Remember Algore’s endless recounts? He picked three counties to recount because they were the bluest counties.
One was Dade County. Miami-Dade now has a Republican mayor.
The other two were Palm Beach and Broward. Trump lost those counties; DeSantis carried them.

MAGA is a movement that is bigger than Trump or his circle, and DeSantis is as MAGA as they come. But within the broader MAGA movement is a peronality cult around Trump, known as "Trumpkins" or "Only Trump" or "Cult 45."
Trump's candidate was a RINO. They should have nominated a real conservative, like Kathy Barnette, but Trump sent his minions out to destroy her.

What are DeSantis accomplishments outside of government? Does he have any skills to survive outside of government? Is that the kind of person to set the example Americans need to stop relying on the government?
Apparently, you haven't been paying attention. The Florida economy is strong. The Florida boom is one of the main reasons Biden's economic numbers aren't even worse than they already are.
And not only did DeSantis win by 20 points, he carried in enough Republican House members that we have the majority (such as it is) due to him and Zeldin.
1968 — Incumbent Democrat president is challenged by a Kennedy. Republican wins.
1980 — Incumbent Democrat president is challenged by a Kennedy. Republican wins.
2024 — Incumbent Democrat president is challenged by a Kennedy.

Stop listening to campaign operatives and rumor mongers. Look at Gov. DeSantis’s RECORD. He’s been fighting the good fight on so many important issues. He’s been a champion on cultural issues, as well as economic ones.

Trump (and Lin Wood) telling people not to bother because it was rigged cost them at least one and likely both of those runoffs. And while they're not as conservative as we'd like, they're certainly vastly preferable to the two Commies who misrepresent Georgia now, and we would have a Republican majority. Thank Trump for Schumer being Majority Leader.
Especially the way they oppress the non-Hindus in India.
