Definitely! The old lyrics are so much better than the new that are just a mish mash of words. Current songwriters do not know how to tell a story in verse. I am heartened tho, that many young people comment and appreciate the older music that is posted on YouTube.

Just look at all the tributes that came out for Gordon Lightfoot, who hadn't even had a hit in about 50 years. But there will always be an appreciation for well-crafted songs and lyrics.
