I remember two news stories on a middle aged black woman in CA and another one in NY as Obama started his campaign. Both said in almost the same words “This car here is gonna be paid for and the gas that goes into it is gonna be paid for once Obama gets elected.” They apparently didn’t riot over his not forking over the cash later. Odd that both women had the same idea and example.
My experience is that money is a lot like water, in that you can’t hold onto it. It has to be flowing or it disappears. So, you either have to spend it on something that won’t disappear or you have to invest it or something.
