My experience is that money is a lot like water, in that you can’t hold onto it. It has to be flowing or it disappears. So, you either have to spend it on something that won’t disappear or you have to invest it or something.

Ben Franklin once said, “If a man empties his purse into his head, no one can take it from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the highest return.”
It didn’t really work that well for me. Still broke much of my life.
