I work with historical documents...but I learned cursive in 2nd grade in 1950. I can still picture the inkwell and that scratchy steel point pen....not much better than a quill.

I just turned in an historical project wherein I had transcribed several wills of the time (1850). I transcribed them using a script font....since our local schools doesn't teach it anymore. Maybe I can change some minds.

Those are known as “scratchy steel point word processors” these days.
