Aboriginal emu caller used to arouse the curiosity of emus. When they are close, put salt on their tail.

All of that, and they would blend right in with the standing corn or soybeans popular in the area.

A relative serviced Nato missiles across Europe.
He said flocks of geese were used and they could hurt you and make lots of noise.

Actually, they taste more like pork.
When we occupied the headgates in Klamath Falls in 2001, an Emu rancher barbequed for all of us.
It was delicious!

They can eat anything they can catch, plus vegetation. You don’t “train” birds to eat, pecking at everything, whether it is provided or randomly found, to determine if it tastes good comes naturally.

LOL!
You can tell that’s a ceremonial emu caller by the fancy decorations...
To: DUMBGRUNT
Ever tough an emu? You can feel its emu oil all over its feathers. Emu oil penetrates the skin better than any other substance and is highly effective for treating burns which is why ever household should have a bottle of it. I use it whenever I get burned while cooking. Unbelievably effective.

Looking through recent pings and reading your comment is like walking the beach and finding a colorful shell!
And all I did was paste it in a box.
Thank you for the colorful glimmer, it made me smile.
