Consumers are being urged to boycott Target in response to their Pride collection for children, with one activist group accusing the retailer of 'indoctrinating and grooming' young people, calling it 'highly inappropriate and disturbing.'
One former Target customer said the company 'deserves the Bud Light treatment' - a reference to the boycott sparked by Bud Light's decision to partner with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The disastrous marketing decision wiped $6 billion off the value of the company and saw sales plummet.
Target has supported Pride - celebrated throughout the month of June - every year since 2013.
This year's collection features a range of clothes and home goods, including lime green adult romper suits with the word 'gay' on the back; a 'Live Laugh Lesbian' t-shirt; and a mug emblazoned with the words: 'Gender Fluid'.
It was the collection for children, however, that sparked anger.
The Minneapolis-based company is selling T-shirts for children with the slogan: 'Trans People Will Always Exist!'
It is offering rainbow-striped tutus for toddlers for $13, and $10 baby gros which read: 'Bien Proud'.
The activist group Gays Against Groomers led the outrage.
'This is what you will find in the kid's section of @Target,' they tweeted.
'We urge you to take your business elsewhere. They are indoctrinating and grooming them with LGBTQ ideology. It is highly inappropriate and disturbing.'
The group, founded last year in Wisconsin by Jaimee Michell, says it lobbies 'against the sexualization, indoctrination and medicalization of children under the guise of 'LGBTQIA+'.'

I said i would not buy from Target since they provided for men being with women in bathrooms, and have not bought from then since, though Amazon, Ebay, Walmart. Temu.com NewEgg.com are still sources.
My Boycott Target Ship sailed when they kicked Salvation Army bell ringers off their property. Must’ve been before 2010, IIRC.
(Now I’ll have nothing to do with SA.)
Not what I’ve seen from the few I’ve stepped foot into. Most are in less populated areas away from Austin where the population is growing. They are expanding their grocery areas to compete, and sometimes exceed, what the local Walmarts are providing. I know Freepers want to believe that Target is suffering, but if our local Targets are any indication, they aren’t.
I dropped them earlier when they booted out the salvation army bell ringers
I have already boycotted them for allowing, and even pushing, letting men use womens bathrooms.
I’m sick of the global socialists shoving their religion down our throats.
