On second thought, do not fly to Atlanta.

Better not to go to Atlanta at all unless there is a compelling reason. The same applies for all American urban areas. If you go, be vigilant and stay outside the cities after dark.

Back in the 80s, a friend of ours who had friends in Watts, CA, would not only make sure to get out of there before nightfall, but to stay indoors while she was there. The reason? This particular black woman was not considered by the locals to be "dark" enough.
