Mulvaney says the responses have become more blatant. Perhaps he should review how this came to be. It was the BLATANT pushing of the trans movement onto our children, in our schools, libraries, bathrooms, sports, etc. The demands and the aggression hit a tipping point. Enough is enough. Mulvaney is condescending and manipulative.
I have met and interacted with two guys who had the reassignment surgery. Both guys were in their late 30s or early 40s. The interaction with one guy was about ten years ago, the other guy was last year. In both cases they had Guy voices and Guy mannerisms and a fairly strong handshake, but they had (as Zappa would say) mammalian protuberances and long hair. Dunno about the downstairs equipment.
Neither of them pushed their choice in my face or aggressively demanded the use of female pronouns. Basically, the only “odd” thing was referring to them by their female name.
Was it weird? Sure...calling a guy with protuberances and a tenor voice and a crusher handshake “Belinda” was strange. But they basically just wanted to do their thing and, in all honesty, they were kinda normal except for the obvious exceptions. It was weirder than the GenZ help at Hot Topic with extreme piercings helping me find a concert shirt. But not by too much.
Now, my understanding from some GenZers is that their peers making that transition ARE more strident, demanding, and live-and-let-live is NOT really an option.
I would not be surprised, if the older trannies are sort of peeved that their quest to be left alone has been trashed by the militant youths.
