One of my favorite songs. LS does it well, but heard a “cover
band” do it in Port Aransas, Texas about 30 years ago, was at a motel known for “gay” etc. people before it was a big thing, owned by 2 very hard working lesbians. The “alt” sex thing is not my deal, but it was a good night, lots of Lone Star Beer and the wife was amazed when I managed to sing the song word for word along with the band. How I got invited to that party I don’t know.

I saw them when they opened for The Who's Quadrophenia Tour in 1973. When they started playing the crowd went wild. When they finished their last song no one cared about The Who. 🤣

I went to the record store the very next morning to buy an album by them. The owner of the record store had never heard of them. I told him, he better find out about them & get their record in, because they opened for The Who last night, & they were extremely well received.
