The attempt is real and has been done. and successful, in the past, as actual feces and not a pill.
The purpose and intent is to establish a microbial healthy biome in the intestines, and by doing so end some illness that actually stems from an unhealthy microbial biome in the intestines, one minus or depleted of the types of “good” micorbial life a healthy intestinal bione needs.
In time, further research will learn how to extract a healthy intestinal biome from someone, by extracting the good microbila life itself out of the feces and then putting it into a delivery vehicle (pill).
Is not free of risk no s**t oh wait never mind.
I have joked with my family that the world’s worst job now are the people who have to open up the mailed-in turds to be screened for colon cancer. What would motivate you to get out of bed each morning?
This could help immensely. Then again is it gluten free?
Tastes pretty crappy I am told.
So, you’re actually eating someone else’s chit?
I thought it was a suppository.
Gotta be a better way get your probiotics!
Safer and more effective then their injections
Well, that does bring up the perfectly legitimate question of why a pill at all? What you're after is a location much more easily reached by other means. I prefer a garden hose myself - the green ones seem to work best - but tastes differ.
I’ve had C. diff and you are right - it’s horrible!
Feces is just processed food.
My mom had C.diff and was on the verge of trying a fecal transplant when her symptoms finally cleared. She was miserable, and would have gladly tried this pill.
At least they’re not gummies.
If it’s that or lose your colon and possibly your life would that change your mind?
