I have not seen wokeness slowing down at all. Every new day seems crazier than the last.

There was, at that time in France, a very deliberate and calculated plan to ‘de Christianize’ the society.

I don’t they ever really recovered from that

The French Revolution was Communist Revolution V 0.0

Convince me otherwise.

Victor Davis Hanson is an excellent historian.

But, it is a mistake to judge the actions of the past based upon our view of the world today.

Those worlds are NOT the SAME.

We see the Crazy hate filled Left today trying to destroy the USA. And of course, they don’t know how to run a taco stand much less a nation.

During the French Revolution there were a lot of old grudges washed in blood in the streets. Both the French Monarchy and the corrupt French Pope earlier were both serving Great Evil.

Once the carnage began, it was hard to extinguish and much harder to rebuild.

And yes, Look at France today?

“Finally, what could not go on, did not go on”

holds true in the US as well.

The wokeness is accelerating at an alarming pace both here and abroad. The Uniparty and NATO feign concern for Uke freedom while continuing to enslave the country for Western corrupt wokeness. We are on the verge of fighting WWIII to destroy the nations that will not take a bended knee for woke pervo globalism. Domestically, the DC corrupt Uniparty (R) oligarchs are only getting richer. Nothing changes unless Trump returns from his seditionist imposed Elba.

Well Victor, let it all come out. Preachit brother preach it

The reason for inequality is the fact that many are unequal

The reason for inequality is inequality

We are currently watching the PBS series Marie Antoinette. While watching the story line, I am also closely watching the actions of the court. The court lives in Versailles. The court exists separate and distinct from France. The court has no clue there is a real world out there. The court has no knowledge that France is not the KIng.

From VDH's as always excellent article (bold-faced mine): "The U.S. military fell short by thousands of recruits. And why not, when it advertised for manpower with invitations from drag queens, and hounded those as racists who had died at twice their numbers in the population in Afghanistan and Iraq?"

Wow! Just wow!

America is exporting chaos, absurdity and iron-fisted censorship. A U.S. President who cannot even speak clearly demonstrates to the world we are the world’s leader in exporting gibberish.

It is astonishing how much the slapstick antics of today’s American leadership so closely resemble classic Mel Brooks movies such as “Blazing Saddles.”

The USA has become the laughingstock of the world yet those in charge think their constant pratfalls and faceplants are exactly what are needed.

Every revolution eventually turns on itself. And the ends results of the French Revolution were a pile of headless corpses and a tryant ruling France.

One trivial error—the French Revolutionaries did not treat 1789 as “Year One” but rather started Year One with the beginning of the French Republic in September 1792.

Great piece, by The Great VDH!

(Is there a VDH ping list?)

He really puts things in historical perspective. Comparing USA wokeness to the French Revolution is brilliant.

The past is prologue, indeed.

“A desperate and woke NBA now brags that its recent playoff televised audience reached over 4 million viewers. A quarter-century ago, when the U.S. population was nearly 60 million smaller, the pre-Jacobin NBA won over 70 million viewers who watched the 1998 finals.”
