I do love both “parts” of the catalog. My mom had Doors 13 on 8 track when I was a kid. Which of course is mostly Krieger’s songs. Then I started picking up Doors albums on my own. First time I heard “The End” it was... a bit shocking to be sure. But that was the great part about that era too, the record companies had no idea what would sell and bands could be more than 1 thing. And we’re kind of back to that, because rock doesn’t sell, so the record companies don’t care, and the bands are once again free.

There is a radio show called the Markly, Van Camp, and Robbins show and they do a segment in their third hour every friday(2:00 PM CDT) here and it is the top 5 songs with a certain theme, last week it was with the word "light"

Well any way one would think "Light my Fire" by The Doors would be #1, it wasn't, it was #3, Journey came in #1 with "Lights in the City", well anyway the dj's were snarky about "Light my Fire" saying the keyboard and guitar solos were too long. basically dissing Ray and Robby, and they don't take phone calls.
