It’s welfare for the educated.
Next question.
Academic conformity may be one of their unspoken goals.
Blah , blah , blah. Education has gone bad because of Government meddling. More meddling is not going to fix it. Separation of School and State is an idea whose time has come.
Worthy ideas.
Oh. I see. ANY CHANGE challenging the university liberal doctrines is FORBIDDEN SPEECH. /sarchasm - That gaping whole between a liberal and the real world

Tenure sure has done much in a way of keeping conservatives from being kicked off college campii (a little Rush lingo there). Tenure only applies to the Communists and other extreme Far-Left America Haters many of whom are not even Americans. Just a bunch of third worlders with big mouths.
So,,, let’s review.
The modern conception of tenure in US higher education originated with the 1940 Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure.
( about when they started calling Stalin “ uncle “ )
Its purpose was to protect professors’ jobs from wealthy donors who might object to teachers of theologically controversial subjects (e.g., evolution).
( I call b.s. on protection from wealthy donors, it was to protect the theology of secular humanist evolution , and marxism, communism )
Tenure is aristocracy of ideology in drag. Pun intended.
Tenure is a pox on freedom.
Getting rid of tenure might be a case of the cure being worse than the disease. A lot of colleges have a plantation-style system of government already. The administration tends to be more liberal and woke than the professors. Getting rid of tenure just gives more power to the administrators (many of whom have no academic field but have Ed.D.’s in “higher education administration”).
