Even worse than the buzzwords was if I was given a greeting card by Maya Angelou on my birthday. That just sent me over the top.

I’m retired, too, so I don’t have to deal with this anymore.
I wouldn’t have really minded getting a Maya Angelou poem; they’re about as good as most Hallmark stuff. But one of the reasons I retired sooner than I expected to was that I was tired of hearing ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion’ mouthed every time I turned around by people who didn’t even understand or value the real meanings of the words.
