A TikToker user is sparking debate after they posted an “unethical life hack” about what to do when someone is reclining their seat in front of you on a plane.

“Turn on the air-con above you on full blast and point it at the top of their head.”

Delta is already setting up 10% of their planes such that they recline only to the first position.
Ban assault air conditioner vents.

Coach seats only recline about 3 inches. The effect on the tray and leg room in the seat in back is barely perceptible.
I’m old enough to remember when there was enough room between seat rows to get out of a window seat and could get to the aisle by the center and aisle seat passengers turning their knees to the side. Now, even if all seat backs are totally upright, the window passenger can’t get out without the center and aisle passengers stepping out into the aisle.
What the hell is it with aircraft seat design to push your head forward almost chin to chest?!
And this is why I sit in the first row in coach or I don’t go.
I don’t have a dog on the hunt.
I refuse to fly.
There are a lot of reasonable solutions!
Sit at the bulkhead, sit in emergency exit row, buy business or first class, drive.
Whinging about the person in front of you is the only bad answer.
With that tiny angle the seat back moves, every time I see it used I’m reminded of the fable of The Princess and the Pea.

Is this a case of situational ethics?
It reminds of the old George Carlin joke where "anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac."
My own behavior must define the norm for everyone else. Is the person in front of you an ass only because he's in front of YOU? Would he still be an ass if he were sitting on the other side of the aisle?

I think it’s close to 4pi/3 steradians. I’m not sure but I think you’d be making it worse on yourself (a good bit of the air would blow on you if you’re reclining the seat).
Is it really that much of an intrusion? They have to take away our final 3 inches of air travel comfort?
