Authorities in Maryland say that three masked teenagers hopped onto a school bus late Monday afternoon and attempted to kill a 14-year-old boy on board.
"This was an attempted murder, plain and simple," Martin Diggs, head of the bus drivers’ union in Prince George’s County, told WJLA-TV about the Monday incident near the Iverson Mall. "Call it what it is."
After the three teenagers boarded the bus, one of them is said to have pointed a gun at the 14-year-old’s head and pulled the trigger three times.

TV-station journalists are the worst of a bad lot.
BTTT!
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Will Obama go on TV and say if he had a son he would look like these kids?
The report says the trigger was pulled three times, and three casings (or unfired rounds?) came out of the gun. The photo shows a semi-auto in the kid’s hand. It is impossible to eject rounds with out firing it unless the kid racked the pistol three times, or it’s a toy gun.

Report was written by Kamala, using AI.
And edited and approved by her.
Their eventual sentences if convicted:
“I will not attempt to murder anyone” (500 times each)
Never get past local news. Black on Black.
OMG
Pulling the trigger three times and misfiring three times is considerably different from firing three shots. Idiotic headline.
In all these news reports, the perpetrators are immediately identified as ‘teens’. How do they know their age? Especially when they are wearing masks.
Revolvers are not foolproof.
The fact that the “thugs” do not know how to clean and maintain a firearm, coupled with the fact that they often use the incorrect ammo has actually saved a lot of lives. Think of the number of times you’ve read an article which mentions a gun “jamming”. A properly maintained and loaded gun almost never jams.

Parts of it. Parts of it are quite nice. I live on Capitol Hill, several miles away. The Hill is now solidly gentrified. The PG County story that interests me is the rebound of the Anacostia River corridor, all the way from Buzzard Point up through the Anacostia Historic District through Bladensburg, Cheverley, Hyattsville and College Park. DC housing prices are insane. DC’s commutes are even more insane. Inside the beltway, the region’s semi-affordable housing right now is in far northeast DC and close-in PG County. There are some wonderful neighborhoods scattered around and many more that are trending in the right direction. Then there are some pretty tough ones. Welcome to the world of microhabitats. Local knowledge and situational awareness are important.
20 years from now, the entire river corridor is going to be great. Right now, it’s a work in progress.
As a general rule, proximity to public housing projects is a key lookout. Avoid those.
If you are curious, go to google maps street view, enter the address, and “drive around” a bit. You will be surprised at what you see. A lot of the tough areas could rebound quickly if we got rid of the housing projects.
Housing projects were one of the worst things to happen to America.
Sure, take all your problem people and concentrate them in 13 storey rabbit warrens.
What could go wrong?
Sounds almost like an attempted assassination!

Dump? No!
No "dump" is as bad as PG county...
It is really not part of Maryland, it is actually an extension of DC...
The black, racist, drug, evil, criminal wave inundated PG county back in the 1980s & 1990s...
That wave continues, today, rolling into and across Charles county to the south...
No matter how rich you are or how nice a house you buy - you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your neighbors. This is especially true in cities and suburbs.
As the economy worsens and property owners default ‘multi-family’ housing will go in.
