Jacksonville, Fl — A man accused of killing former Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan in Jacksonville Beach in February 2022 faces a possible death sentence if convicted.
The State Attorney’s Office says it will seek the death penalty against Mario Fernandez Saldana. He is charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony and child abuse.
Bridegan, a father of four, was murdered in Jacksonville Beach in front of his 2-year-old daughter. Police say he was shot execution-style after he had stopped to move a tire from the road.
Fernandez Saldana is married to Bridegan’s ex-wife, Shanna Gardner-Gernandez. She has not been charged in connection with the case, and she told Action News Jax in an exclusive interview last year that she had nothing to do with her ex-husband’s death.

I think his occupation is just incidental......if you know the story from the beginning its very cruel and sad.
I also suspect the victims ex-wife was somehow involved....but that’s just a guess.

This is local to me......the scuttlebutt around is the ex-wife made a mistake giving that interview......we’ll see.
Also, not long after the shooting she loaded up the kids and moved from Fla to Washington state.......not a good look IMO.

Yep. They probably don’t have enough evidence to charge her with anything...yet.
So, a dead ex husband and the current husband going to prison for the slaying of said ex.
Anyone looked at insurance policies she and/or the kids are receiving on both of these men?
I mean, come on! Anyone that watches murder shows would know this! ;)
It took ‘em a whole year to make the 1st arrest one the actual shooter.
