I think the notion is that most charging will be done at home. ...with entire cities of residents in apartment buildings parking on the street somewhere.

I fully expect them to outlaw gas stations to force compliance Outlawed for the hoi polloi of course, but for government elite, they'll still be around - welcomed and serviced like they did in the 50s

It’s more about the societal decline in civility than the shortage of electric charging stations.
That said, the government-imposed electric vehicle mandates are already outrunning the CA power grid, and it’s only going to get worse. The woke climate-change agenda is yet another way Democrats are scuttling the USA.

Im apologize to the intelligent and self sufficient Freepers. I dont do stupid or lazy well.
I dont have time to drag 1/2 dozen stupid people around by the nose. there's 50 other people who want to learn things and are willing to do the work to better themselves.
IOW they dont need to be spoonfed when to go to bed, when to get up, what to eat, what to believe.

That had nothing to do with gas pumps. She was mad at her dorky white boyfriend and decided to take it out on him African style. At a place with lots of gasoline and tires. LOL.

I was wondering the same thing. Be courteous.
Agree.
Traveling with little internet access, i read highlights on FR to stay current. I think that there are some people who choose to be arrogant and ignorant because they live in a small fetid world and are miserable people.
If you can’t say anything nice, don’t. It costs nothing to be nice.

Entitled tesla owner. I’m surprised the charging station still had all the copper. Stealing copper is a big business.

...it’s possible that the fight started over who was going to be next to charge, but it’s still unclear. Could have been over the color of their cars or a sandwich. Most people are idiots.

***When was the last time somebody got shot arguing over access to a gas pump?***
Possibly during the 1970s Arab Oil Embargo. I remember the news reporting lots of fights in California while we in the mid-West had plenty of gas, but it was expensive.

Chargers occupied by non-electric vehicles is a third issue.
How does this occur? Is there such a thing as gas & charging pump stations?

The lack of a functioning power grid that can handle the proposed EV mandate is a third issue - and the biggest.
As well as a required upgrading of residential transmission circuits to handle the extra load of multiple homes charging EVs.
And many homes will need larger circuit boxes as well.
