That had nothing to do with gas pumps. She was mad at her dorky white boyfriend and decided to take it out on him African style. At a place with lots of gasoline and tires. LOL.

Possibly during the 1970s Arab Oil Embargo. I remember the news reporting lots of fights in California while we in the mid-West had plenty of gas, but it was expensive.

As well as a required upgrading of residential transmission circuits to handle the extra load of multiple homes charging EVs.

And many homes will need larger circuit boxes as well.
