Looking at the outside of the restaurant and then the inside, I don’t know why these sorts of people would have gone in there in the first place. I would have thought they would be afraid to even enter. I mean, it looks like it’s straight out of Deliverance LOL

What has Spain given the world?
Three ships for Christopher Columbus to discover the New World.

The video was taken at the Rainbow Oaks Restaurant in Fallbrook - a city located around 50 miles northeast of San Diego....and in close proximity to MCAS Miramar and Camp Pendleton...

I wonder what happens if you don’t stand for China’s national anthem.

"Some of use still do!"
During the 1930s and early during WWII in a public elementary school at assembly in the morning we pledged allegiance to the flag and (although I wasn't religious) bowed our heads and recited the Lord's Prayer. I think the same was true when I went to high school at Central High in Washington DC.

Who’s stopping you? It’s even possible to pray the Rosary in Latin with or without a guide depending on your fluency.

The response by the person from Spain is common among people I have worked with over the decades with folks from other countries.
I always take folks to NHL,MLB,NBA & College Football Games when they are located to whatever city the job takes us.
They are generally surprised by the National Anthem, and found it confusing, and Cool at the same time.
When they ask why, I just tell them that's what we do here in the U.S.A. No problem. "When in Rome..."

The last of the Moors surrendered Granada in 1492. After that they (Ferdinand & Isabella) had the time to listen to Columbus, and his ideas of finding a route to the East, as opposed to sailing around Africa, or going overland through Muslim, or other hostile controlled lands.
Not sure what that has to do with throwing off the “yoke” of Islam, as they had already done that.

I didn't mean to relate the two events. I was responding to someone who asked what Spain had ever given to the world.

Amen for that!
I once saw several roofers standing on a roof with their hands over their hearts.
They were looking at a flag at a nearby baseball field where the National Anthem was being played.
Goosebumps time, it was awesome! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I live several miles north of this restaurant just over the county line in Riverside County.
I’ve been to Rainbow Oaks Restaurant numerous times … their menu features a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, with particular emphasis on country/southern style comfort foods, with a small attached sports bar.
Yes … every day at noon the American National Anthem is played and I have always seen everyone participate.
The restaurant is a favorite stopover for Veterans, active duty military from the nearby Camp Pendleton and San Diego area Navy and Marine Corps bases, local firefighters, US Forest Service firefighters and CDF crews (this is the heart of wildfire prone Southern California), and law enforcement … the US Border Patrol operates a nearby checkpoint on Interstate 15 as does the California Highway Patrol with their adjacent inspection station.
Weekend bikers and commuters frequent Rainbow Oaks too.
