Also, never get out of your car. When you’re in your car, you’re surrounded by steel and weigh 3000 pounds or more. And you can outrun a horse. But once you’re out of your car, all of those advantages disappear.

Definitely true for the cities. A very thin thread holds many together. But not so true for here in SW Montana, which is one of the reasons I fled one of the notorious big blue cities and moved my fam here!

I live in Oakland at this address for 10 years. In the last 3 months there have been two “sideshows” in the intersection next to our house. Around 5AM, approximately two minutes, one car spinning around with another car following behind, watching. It’s a quiet street, by an open space near the old Navy hospital site. It used to be a lot safer here.
Alameda County’s new District Attorney, Pamela Price, is a real piece of work. She hired a bunch of prosecutors who used to work for Chessa Boudin in San Francisco. It’s gonna get a lot worse here.
