A few years ago, I was at that same Master Gardener show that I mentioned up thread. Met a men who was selling his new invention, the Roto-Shovel. I purchased one and it has made my life (and my husband’s) easier. I don’t need his help anymore for the big holes with rocks buried deep. I think it’s available on Amazon now, too.

I’ll probably get this 2 auger set(1.6 and 3”) for $27 and use my 20vdc cordless drill.
