Having nothing to lose at this point last night I took the Alienware to the shop and cranked up the compressor and blew it out savagely.
A LOT of weird powdery stuff came out of every vent and I kept going until it stopped.
It’s booted up without the terrifying hardware failure errors now ( cpu and gpu) and I upgraded to 11 just to go for broke.
The app that displays temps was squirrelly at first going back and forth from 110 to 180 but seems to be hovering around 160 or so now which is not bad considering how beefy it is.
Killed off a bunch of unnecessary crap running in the background, pared the start menu down to nearly nothing and am hoping for the best.
Until/unless the adjuster squeezes State Farm for the max I can’t afford a $3000 similar replacement.
Praying they pinch SF until they scream.
