Minor role or not, good for you! I’ve been a fan of WattsUpWithThat for a long time now.

“...used engine oil is 100% organic...”

To the extent that almost all molecules of same contain at least one Carbon atom, you are correct.

The mosquitoes will be responsible for the next Covid variant, pre-set to arrive in the summer of 2024, just in time for emergency ballots to be produced.

Mosquitos make great food. But they need to be processed by trout first.

The most efficient mosquito predators by far are bats. The typical bat eats between 6000 to 8000 mosquitos a nights. This is far more than any other predator. But the psycho greenies don't care that their giant bat and bird choppers are killing tens of millions of bats and increasing the number of mosquitos exponentially in areas with lots of windmills.

I've built two bat houses and placed them near my house. They both contain about 150 bats each. They've been there for years and I have minimal problems with mosquitos.

Well, one can get there from either Baker, MT [Heiser’s Bar and Casino “Liquor in the front, Poker in the back!”]
or from Colony, WY.

Either way, it’s a trip.

No bats in the house?

Over the years I’ve had a few “visitors”....

We are fortunate to have a lot of bats in our area. There is a swamp below our house that goes for a couple of miles. I cannot imagine what the mosquito situation would be like here when it starts getting warm without the bats.

We had a bunch of tall firs die on our property a few years ago. Three of them were between our hangar and the neighbor’s house so I had to climb them and section them down. When I was at about the 75 foot level on one of them I felt something soft under my glove. When I lifted my hand a bat fell all the way to the ground. I climbed down and found it. Fortunately, the ground was soft. The bat was not moving, but I could not tell if it was alive or dead. I put it in a shoe box padded with some moss and placed it on our porch. Eventually it started moving and then it flew off.

I’ve had ~7 bats found in the house over 40 years. 4 were dead in the furnace ducts/filter area. 2 were captured and released outside.

One was kilt in the kids’ bedroom and sent via the State Police to the State Capitol lab for analysis.
