The puberty blockers are “not as reversible as we always thought, and they have longer term effects on kids’ growth and development, including making them sterile and quite a number of things affecting their bone growth.” I doubt they gave the question any thought at all. They simply hoped it would work out because their ideology simply had to be true, and therefore compatible with reality.
The just used lots of children as laboratory animals, and did a big experiment based on a hypothesis.
That their laboratory animals were human beings was an insignificant detail, placed next to their grandiose, narcissistic vision.
