He was a local radio host when Fox fired him. He and Alan Colmes had a show together that was actually pretty good. When Colmes left, they didn’t replace him.
Hannity had the luxury of following Rush on Rush’s flagship station. So he got to fill in for Rush on occasion, and someone decided he could make money in national syndication. Really, all he did was regurgitate Rush’s themes, but not as well.
Then he would take the most “interesting” things form his radio program and replicate them on TV.
It sopped working years ago.

Hannity kicking the crap out of poor Alan every night set Sean up for the rest of his life; but Colmes leaving left a big hole in Hannity’s repetoire, and he’s never recovered...
I used to work in the White Plains area. Sean was on every day after Rush. WABC I think.
