RAND PAUL: “We will adamantly oppose all future [Ukraine] aid packages unless they are linked to a clear diplomatic strategy”

Translation: Russia needs a time out to rearm and rebuild so it can try again, because the Republican party stand firmly opposed to freedom and supports tyranny. Money is the only thing we care about. Please send us more.

Thank God and some rational people! Pouring money down the Ukrainian rathole is ridiculous.

Have a diplomatic settlement and tell Ukraine to abide by it. This all started because the Ukrainians were shelling and otherwise attacking some mostly Russian ethnic border regions which had already elected via a referendum to go with Russia and it had been granted. This was violated by Zelensky after he was put in place by Biden.

Also, get somebody who actually knows something about the Slavic countries. Russia and Ukraine have been in conflict since forever. Kiev was the seat of the first Slavic power base, but after the Islamic invasions and general decline, Moscow (prior to this an unimportant city and area) emerged as the leader of the Slavs.

And in the late 18th and 19th centuries, the Ukraine (which literally means “the Border”) became an area with no culture of its own, heavy Western influence, and total vulnerability to the Communists. The Soviets destroyed the Ukrainian agricultural economy, caused devastating famines and also the flight of many Ukrainians to the US, such as Cleveland and other parts of the border Midwest.

But Russia is no longer Communist, oddly enough at a time when Ukraine has become much more leftwing, so there’s a lot to settle.

How about opposing all future Ukraine aid packages, until every last penny and weapon already sent there is fully accounted for.

Too little too late. Talk about deep state duping everyone. How dumb are these supposed conservatives to fall for this crap for over a year. the time to end this was at the beginning.

On the other hand Putin does deserve a Nobel prize for singlehandedly ending COVID.

“a clear diplomatic strategy designed to bring this war to a rapid conclusion.”

Seems like very few are even talking about the end to this war.

That’s going to put a pinch on Biden’s savings account.
