The new inventory shows that 20 percent of New York City’s greenhouse gas emissions come from household food consumption — primarily from meats, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy products. This means New Yorkers can significantly reduce the city’s emissions by eating more low-carbon food, including fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes. [and of course... bugs]

I do not think eating legumes reduces gas output.

There’s a ample supply of rats running around NYC, start harvesting them and kill two problems at the same time, get rid of the rat infestation and reduce your carbon footprint at the same time
