If malignant cells all had a unique receptor it would be much easier to target them pharmacologically, but they don't. I hate that this is how research is now. It's all about ‘doing something cool’ and getting a publication and a headline. If every ‘major advancement’ was truly a major advancement our lifespan would be substantially extended by now.
