When I first took Biology 101 in the 1970s, the first step in the ‘Scientific Method’ was ‘Rejection of Authority.’

By the 1990s that 1st step was eliminated. I have discussed this with persons who learned the newer version. They universally decline to consider or accept the notion. This is I believe why the teachings of Galen and others held Medicine back for many centuries.

I like that!!
To be clear your saying. "Rejection of Authority" thereby you figure out how that scientific method was correct or not? That way you have to think about the subject rather then simply memorize other peoples work.

That is brilliant.
