If the Bible is NOT what it claims to be, then Jesus was never mankind’s redeemer from the slavery of sin.
If we treat the Bible as a rubber nose or in Humpty-Dumpty fashion, we insert ourselves and remove the Triune God.
“You seek Jesus of Nazareth. He is not here...HE IS RISEN.”
Moar on how this shows the struggles of the Church in today’s secular and tolerant environment coming soon.
An exposition (excerpt) on praying the Pater Noster, circa 1540:
“Should He [God] not, then, become angry and rebuke us...we have thought only about what we do and false spirituality. We have set these both above and against Grace...and placed them before God in order to \reconcile Him\ and merit Heaven.
Since we have despised God’s Word and this glorious, comforting sermon of Christ (Matt 6: 9-13), what [necessarily] happens is that we become shamefully blinded and deceived by the Devil and rebuked and afflicted by the secular antichrists, who point you away from the Gospel, the Creed, the Commandments [and] toward their shabby, stinking devices into the Devil’s brotherhood.”
And so...the church perseveres.
