Actually there is very good evidence of an “Alien” subspecies of Homo sapiens entering and rapidly dominating the gene pool starting about 40KYA.
This is confirmed by the advent of the first cave painting masterpieces (not just me...Picasso said the same about this wonderful art), and also by the paleogenetic tracing of the massive D Allele mutation, relating to brain size, at almost exactly the same time.
Geneticists have a way of estimating the time required for changes in DNA by “Normal” processes, and this massive change was simply impossible unless there was a totally separate population which suddenly appeared and took over, presumably based upon their vastly superior intelligence and technology (weapons etc.).
This molecular dating of the mutation is based upon the fairly recent decoding of the human genome, as well as DNA analysis of remains of our ancestors.
We also know that the new breed of Homo sapiens first appeared in north-central Eurasia and spread out rapidly from there to the entire world, eliminating the archaic genome.
