Judge William Shoobridge is compassionate and fair, but believes in criminals paying the price for their crimes. He released her on house arrest until sentencing May 1 but told her to prepare herself for the sentence. It will be prison but how long is unknown. The maximum total years is 18 for child abuse resulting in great bodily harm and 9 years for attempted murder.
18 year old is old enough to know it’s not ok to throw a newborn baby in a dumpster like a piece of trash and in doing so will most likely kill the infant. She can live with the consequences IMO.......Jury is correct.....Guily of 1st degree attempted murder and 1st degree Abuse of a Child.
It's grown a bit since then - over 50,000 now. For example, major chain hotels - two Hilton, at least two Marriott, three or four Choice, lots of chain restaurants (three MacDonald's), Lowe's & Home Depot, Walmart of course, two Walgreens, one CVS, a brand new hospital, two colleges, two golf courses, new housing everywhere, etc. One thing not to brag about, 18 pot shops! As must mj revenue as ABQ, Rio Rancho and Santa Fe -reason: Four miles from the Texas state line!

She’s been on an ankle monitor since her first court arraignment in January 2022 and hasn’t fled. She and the family knew back then she didn’t have a snowballs chance in hell in court so she could have bolted for Mexico before now. The judge is taking a chance, but if she flees and then caught it will be longer than 18+9 years in jail. BTW, I don’t think the population in Mexico would take to kindly to a person who tries to kill her newborn.
It might have been worse - you could have lived in Loco Hills, then or now!
