Harry Potter Reboot: WB Reportedly Eyeing People of Color for Lead Roles

As Warner Bros. embraces a new reboot for Harry Potter, a new rumor may indicate a game-changing casting choice for one of its lead stars.

Warner Bros. and Max (formerly HBO Max) surprised everyone when it officially announced that a Harry Potter series was in development, complete with an entirely new cast and a ten-year plan to more faithfully adapt the books.

This announcement led to mixed reactions from diehard fans, especially after The Wizarding World's controversial creator J.K. Rowling was reportedly on board with the reboot.

The original 3 leads are ungrateful to J.K. Rowling who made them stars and $50 million a piece and counting. They shun her now. She is a socialist but not crazy as others and said a man is a man and a woman is a woman. Harry Potter lead Daniel Radcliffe made an ad to promote gender reassignment.

I don't understand why they want to change the originals of something.

It is to steal and taint your fond memories of certain shows, movies and books because they are miserable and you must be miserable with them.

They are also usually more wholesome and the 50's mentality must be destroyed at any cost.

I raised my kids in the Mira Mesa community of San Diego. Lots of refugees from Vietnam, lots of Filipino families. Lots of Mexican American families. The high academic standards of Vietnamese and Filipino communities raised the bar significantly in the local schools. Merit and academic achievement were priority family values. My middle son hung out with the sharp cookies and the academically excellence bug bit him in a big way. He became a fluent Spanish speaker as a consequence of his hispanic friends. He is celebrating his 40th birthday today in Idaho.
