The Ultimate Fighting Championship brought style-irrelevant, catch-as-catch-can martial arts (AKA: "cage fighting") mainstream 30 years ago, and it has spawned many imitators (Bellator, One Championship, Professional Fighters League, et Al). From one promotion to the next the specifics differ (size, shape, & configuration of fighting arena, length of rounds, etc) but one thing is consistent across the entire spectrum. Not only are the highly stylized Oriental martial arts (most notably Kung Fu) not dominant, they're not even major players.

All of the giants are dead.
You don’t win fights with “stylized” fighting!

Bruce Lee was not a practitioner of Gung Fu alone.

He incorporated any techniques that enhanced his fighting ability .. including boxing, wrestling and numerous other moves.

A style of No style so to speak.

That is why Dana White called him the father of mma.

And yes He would be a major name in the fights today.

Oh and so would Ip Man.

I mention Ip Man because of your Gung Fu comments.
(Look him up)

Ip man would probably destroy a majority of fighters today .. same as Lee!
As I said, all of the truly great ones are dead!
