While not “normal”, I would imagine that most trans-gender people don’t say that they are trans - they just want folks to think they are the other sex. I mean - isn’t that the whole point?

Yes. Unforntunately, on FR there is a strong body of those who firmly believe all people born not 100% heterosexual are perverted freaks and demons. That’s just not the case.
The vast majority of those who want to live their LGBTQ lives IN PEACE, which they have a right to but are unfortunately being outwardly represented by an organized extreme militant wing. This wing also seems to be funded and fueled with the full weight of the Democrat party for the putpose of securing LGBTQ votes.
Note: Anything to do with indoctrinating, mutilating or manipulating children is wrong and there is a huge majority of the LGBTQ community who are aligned with this. All they really were hoping for is that hatred for their orientation not be encouraged or supported in the same way blacks are taught to hate whites from birth.
However, because of the very real safety issues up to and including murder created by being “out” publically which I believe all can agree is an unacceptible injustice, there is no substantial other political movement to align with.
So a good with the bad situation is created and the community falls in line, unfortunately willing to unwittingly trade the freedom of all Americans by voting for Marxists for the personal security and access to benefits the Marxists have promised and delivered on.
By voting for their own best interest, they are actually voting against it in the long run to the point all their gains could be lost in a moment if those in tyranical power they installed turn on them down the road.
Sadly too, you will find BLM stickers and banners everywhere in the LGBTQ community. Again, this is a unforunate logic glich in the human mind powerfully exploited by the left.
If I am not being treated justly and they are not being treated justly we are not being treated justly. Therefor, we are stronger together. That is literally the some total of the Marxist playbook - all people are victims and all victims of injustice should ban together for change.
Sound familiar? That is literally the Democrat campaign mantra, certainly Obama’s word for word.
Most people have relatives or friends of friends or even friends who are LGBTQ and not monsters. Some are better people that we are, more talented, less judgemental, more supportive, more creative, more successful, have decorated this world and changed lives with art, etc.
Wish we could start from there, fight the militancy while keeping things in proper perspective.
