Reminds me of a story. WWI American flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker, in October 1942 was on a B-17 that fell victim to faulty navigation equipment and was forced to ditch in the South Pacific. The crew ended up adrift in several lifeboats. Their food ran out after three days. On the eighth day a seagull landed on Rickenbacker's head. He caught it and it provided food and fishing bait that enabled them to survive their total 24 days before rescue.
Years later when he had retired after an extremely eventful life, he would go down to the beach with a bucket of shrimp and feed the seagulls.
Funny movie.
Tie a rope to this guy’s penis...and pull HIM around. Animal cruelty should be punished severely.
That being said, seagulls can be a huge nuisance. If someone throws a seagull a morsel of food, I immediately depart the area. The other 35 or 40 seagulls that will arrive momentarily, are sure to start dropping poop bombs on you.
So they still have Bedlam over there. That’s one thing I didn’t learn about in the time I lived there.
Actually, it's ITV, not the DM. But you have to admit walking a seagull on a leash is a man bites dog story.
Oh, sorry — I first saw the story in the DM before seeing the thread.
LOL. I think DM is too obsessed with crazy stories happening in the U.S., so they get scooped on the ones in Blighty.
I don’t condone cruelty but....
You and me both Bub.
Have fought off too many seagulls at the beach that were attacking our sandwiches IN OUR HANDS.
