Interesting data. Without even reading the article I can probably determine what the numbers tell you.

The median wealth of a school’s graduates has little to do with the quality of the school. Instead, the schools at the top of the list are going to be those that don’t offer useless majors that leave graduates incapable of earning a decent living in that field.

MIT isn’t at the top of the list because it’s the best school. It’s at the top of the list because it doesn’t have a “gender studies” department.

You'd be wrong on that count, as far as MIT goes: "The full major in Women's & Gender Studies consists of nine courses (including WGS.101, Introduction to Women's & Gender Studies, Advanced Seminar in Women's & Gender Studies: WGS.301J), a pre-thesis tutorial, and a thesis (it is possible to have a two class substitution for the pre-thesis and thesis). Students must file a Major Departure proposal, including a list of intended courses, with the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Science."
