Not the way to slash property prices in the game.
A Monopoly match in Belgium turned into a bloodbath — and not in the figurative board game sense — after a perturbed neighbor confronted the players with a samurai sword.
The fracas occurred around 5 a.m. April 2 while a group of four gamers was playing the classic strategy game outside on the sidewalk in Forest, Brussels, per local outlet La Libre.
The noise reportedly awoke the neighbors, who came outside brandishing a stick at the rowdy players, who may have been homeless, according to France’s Midi Libre.
This resulted in a heated altercation, which escalated after the neighbor’s son emerged from the residence with a katana, a curved sword traditionally used by the samurai in feudal Japan.
The son got into a tussle with one of the players, who “tried to grab the katana and removed the holster,” police said, per La Libre.
When the son “tried to get it back,” the scabbard became damaged and exposed the blade, slicing both of them, Insider reported.
Both men were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, although the Monopoly player was discharged the next day.
Meanwhile, the son, who sustained a deep artery cut during the scuffle, remains at the facility in critical condition

If you like a game of making deals and bluffing, and have 4-6 players, try Sheriff of Nottingham.
My stupid younger sister when we were kids used to pick the game table up and throw it upside down when she saw she was losing. Several times a year.
Chance to say something bad about her:
Age 71 now. When Hillary lost she told me couldn’t leave her Hyannis apt. for a full day due to crying and sobbing because “now I won’t live to see a woman President.”
Her letters include little stickers with a broom saying “sweep out Trump.”
Questions that remain unanswered:
Why would homeless people play Monopoly?
Probably why my sisters barely talk to me.
My gaydar is maxed.
Isn’t there a “Chance” card presenting the player with a Hospital bill?
I’m sorry.
We don’t always get the best family, but on the plus side, it’s usually good for some entertainment.
Da women!
Samurai Gaming Cafe.
Settlers of Catan is the game that got an early end in the viseo. Good board actually.
Count your blessings
At least she writes you letters.
One of my sisters hasn’t talked to me since Bush was president.
In a capitalist economy they have earned their place.
And they can legitimately aspire to achieve the top place.
Only their skills, ingenuity and efforts prevent them for achieving their goals.
Well, it was in Belgium...
It could have been worse. We had a standing rule not to allow a married couple to sit next to one another during a game of Uno.
Not a good idea!
It’s not really a hard game to win. Need the oranges or reds next to “free parking”. Hotels there will bleed everyone dry and it’s very hard not to land on one or the other. Trade, wheel and deal to get them as best you can.
Boardwalk and Park Place are worthless to winning in the longer sense, but it will knock out early, those who are poorly positioned.
OJ must have learned a lot from Belushi’s swordsmanship.
But Monopoly is so much fun, I’d hate to blow the game
