I can’t step in a Sam’s or WMT without spending at eats $100. We live in a relatively low income town and I see shoppers with large carts at both places annd how they pay for the stuff I dont have a clue.
You can see prices rising at the store almost daily. It is so obvious because they don’t go up a couple of pennies each day, they go up a couple of dollars each month. They go up three dollars and then a little tag is added that shows them being marked down a dollar and fifty cents. Still up a dollar and a half. But you can actually tell that the prices are higher than just a few days earlier.
Haven’t you heard? Inflation is waning. I guess they have a different definition of “waning” as well as “inflation.” I just honestly don’t understand why food is not part of the inflation calculation. My brother says it’s not part of “core inflation,” but the core of my body says it’s really necessary to life. All right, I’ll try to stop ranting and get back to figuring out how to be even more frugal with food.
