“Grassroots parent advocacy groups” = idiots
Headline should read
“Anne Frank Manga book”
How ‘bout bringing in Drag Queens to read Anne Frank to the kiddies? The kids need to know about concentration camps before they become “wildly popular” in this country.
“Anne Frank’s Diary: The Graphic Adaptation”
Hmmmmm. There weren’t any graphics in the version I read.
“But she argued that it was inappropriate that the book features illustrations of the girl strolling among nude statues, as well as a “graphic scene” where she asks a friend to expose themselves to one another.”
I’m not familiar with the book in question, but why does everything have to be sexualized especially when kids are involved? Get the sex BS out of it and simply tell her story and the good she did.
Wait I’ve read the updated version and YES it is
Why not read the real thing. Are the "teachers" too stupid to handle it?
Note: The book in question is a woke, graphic adaptation, NOT Anne Frank’s work product!!!
That’s not the reason. It’s because it shows the bravery of a young woman when faced with brutal inhuman savagery. If it had been about her “transitioning” to a “man” the book would be required reading for all schoolchildren.
Have you even considered the ‘slant’ this media piece want to give????
I happen to be well acquainted with Moms for Liberty in this county and they are one of the best things to happen to our schools!
Moms have voices and they use them to protect their children
There is nothing wrong with The Diary of Anne Frank…..but we don’t need a revived, sexualized version!
It’s been awhile, but I don’t recall reading that part in Ann’s diary.
A responsible action.
The text only version is preferred.
Only groomers foist this graphic material on kids.
Why the hell do high schoolers need a “graphic adaption,” aka a comic book version of the story? The original book was written by a teenager and should be easily readable to even junior high schoolers.
Yes, I know the answer to my question—the emerging generation is too dumbed down to be able to comprehend the original.
It’s basically a comic book. You can find images online. The nude statues are nothing overt. But the question remains: why can’t the kids just read the actual book? Why does everything need to be dumbed-down?
It’s a “book about Anne Frank”, not the Anne Frank diary itself.
It’s possible this “book about Anne Frank” was put there as some sort of false flag operation.
Who puts these books into school libraries in the first place?
L
This is not the original story...it’s been revised and cr** has been added. Parents are right. Put the original on the shelf...as it should be.
Let’s be clear : this version of Anne Frank’s diary is a bastardization of her diary, with all kinds of salacious crap inserted into it. It should never be represented as her work.
