My first thought here, is why would any white folk live anywhere near that place? And then take public transportation where you’re outnumbered and at the total mercy of these people?

I chalk this up more to crazy subway rider than anything. Avoid them. Insane people are the ones that ride the rails. Bet the white family were Democrats

Intervene against the provocative words of a menace like that on a NYC subway and you’re likely to escalate it into a violent reaction.
I don’t know how old that clip is or if the victims are tourists (note the suitcase handle the man seems to have), but situations like that have been occurring for decades.
Still, the woke rhetoric through all levels of schooling there and in the culture more broadly are, yes, likely to keep making the dynamic worse.
