Yes, they have. But they’ve generally stayed in their lane, and haven’t tried to get so overtly in others’ faces about it or exposed themselves to kids in exhibitionist ways.
That’s why they were tolerated and in many cultures they actually held recognized, special positions.
They’re destroying all the good will they’ve had through centuries.
