The three Florida teens whose bullet-riddled bodies were found abandoned in separate places last week were all friends and their deaths may be connected to a “wannabe gang,” Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods revealed Tuesday.

The new details emerged as the tiny community of Ocklawaha, Florida, has continued to reel since the teens’ slaying—with “crazy rumors” spreading about a potential serial killer, despite repeated assurances from authorities the teens were shot dead in an isolated incident.

Well, I can think of a few things wrong with that idea right off the bat. First, you need 4 killings, in separate incidents, to qualify as a “serial killer”. Also, most serial killers don’t “riddle” bodies with bullets. Nor do they kill multiple people who are known to one another, at least not often.

Calling them ‘wannabe gang’ isn’t going to make the victims or their families feel any better. Labels don’t change what they did.

Why not just call them murderers and go after them and get them into prison?

Should be an easy case, especially when the victims knew each other, and finding their acquaintances shouldn't be hard. People who know each other talk.
