Jack Webb (Dragnet) plays a Rod Serling-like role as he
introduces us to Jerry Donovan – an average guy who shrugs off his inconvenient, civic responsibilities.
Jerry “wakes up” in a communist-controlled town,
where he's the only American left. This film was produced
for the Defense Department by studio mogul
Jack L Warner and stars many Warner Brothers
stock actors – including Jack Kelly (Maverick),
Robert Conrad (Wild Wild West) and
Andrew Duggan. At the time, Jack L. Warner was very
staunch anti-Communist, even though he released a
pro-Communist feature film, Mission to Moscow, in 1943.

First, these actor guys had sons and daughters who – in the lap of American luxury – grew up to become anti establishment, hippie, pinko commies. They, too, had sons and daughters who – in the lap of American luxury – went to Marxist indoctrination college that were taught by the same sons & daughters of the former generation who decided to stay in school and do the long commie march through the institution to become commie, pinko, pot smoking profs, like Ward Churchill. Now the situation is worse, and we have nobody to teach civil liberties and about this Noble Republic because the nation went down the communist rabbit hole.
Mother don’t let your babies grow up to be pinko commies. And fathers, don’t worry about making money and thinking about teaching civics and American history. Your kids might just turn out alright if you did.
Most of the fault is with the parents and their “uncivic mindfulness.”
"The state needs no proof and it is up to you to prove your innocence."
"There is no need to examine the statements of the witnesses. The prisoner stands condemned by his own words. He has challenged the supreme authority of the state. He has questioned its practices and its decisions. And by these actions he has proved himself to be a dangerous enemy to the proletariat. He must be treated as such...as an ugly remnant of the diseased bourgeoise class, he must be eradicated before the contagion can spread."
