They used to hang horse thieves because if you stole a man’s horse you basically destroyed his life.

It’s no different with an Iron horse. (car, locomotive, etc)
You can’t get to work and support your family.

I would not vote to convict.

“Too bad about the bullet holes in the door.” Isn’t that a form of redneck air conditioning?

“...shooting—I mean you can’t just steal a man’s truck and not expect to get shot.”

Why not? It’s the modern day version of stealing a man’s horse and we all know what happened to horse thieves in the old west!

"help people locate their personal belongings"

The truck was his personal property...

"not to track people or another person's property"

The truck was NOT the thief's personal property.

“Police said that when they arrived, they found several bullets in the truck and one dead thief.”
Any proof linking to the truck’s owner?

Yes we do. They got hanged - after a trial.

Californians need a 10-day waiting period to vote.

10 *election* days.

We already know they are ok with a 15-day waiting period to buy a gun ... even when they are under a specific, identified, and imminent threat that someone else intends to kill them.

just leave their cars open, so the thieves won't damage the vehicles while robbing them

Did that with my convertible. $1,200 to replace the top if slashed. And left $5 in the ashtray, so they don’t get mad and slash the seats

I pay $50 a year for OnStar type features....notification if the airbags go off and a GPS location that the police can use to find your stolen car.

He tracked his property and shot it for running away. Too bad the thief was inside.

In TX, cattle and horse thieves are shot or hanged so why not truck thieves.

Seriously, bad guys should realize they can’t get away with much with today’s tech.

Nah, that's 2-65. Two windows down at 65 miles an hour. Bullet holes are for whistling duets.

Not that we condone vigilante violence in Texas.

Sure we do. The police only care about raising revenue for the almighty police state. I'd just as soon have the victim put an end to the problem immediately, and permanently.

The same story that doesn’t condone vigilante Justice states that cops don’t much care about finding your stolen truck. It’s always one way. Always.

A persons private or God forbid work vehicle is pretty important to their lives.

>Yes we do. They got hanged - after a trial.

Except of course when the law wasn’t working, in which case either

a) The victim was unable to effect justice, and the robbers got away to do it again and again; or

b) The victim was able to effect justice, in which case the robbers got shot, unless the victim got shot, or everyone got shot.

Unlike TV westerns or the civilization we’re used to, thanks to leftist thugs and the foreign agitators who fund them, the system of law is going away, or even supporting crime. That leaves the general populace with choice a) or b) again. a) only means a descent into the long-treaded path of communism/socialism, rule by the elites, and mass murder.

I guess you could call it sad that criminals will no longer have the law to jail them, because they’ll lose that opportunity for reform. Better than a) though.

This is the way. DAs and police will do nothing to protect citizens.
