“There will come a time, perhaps it has arrived, when Russia will capitulate or massively escalate.”

***********

This has been a very costly war on both sides. How much longer can Ukraine survive a battle of attrition?

The proxy war will not end with the Russians laying down their weapons, executing their leadership and welcoming the woke green pervo globalists into the Kremlin. Trump can’t be elected soon enough to negotiate and end to this. How else can this end?

The Russians don’t need more enemies on the battlefield, but they need more and better weapons.

I cannot imagine a scenario where Russia would benefit from a preemptive strike on NATO. It sound sexy to some folks—but strategically it would weaken Russia to the point where it would fall apart.

Aside from nuclear war…how does this end without Russia falling apart?

Russia invades a European country for the second time in 8 years, but the West is the real problem?

Well, yes.

We set the precedent with our attack on Iraq.

That and, you know, international homo-ism.

So you agree, WWIII. If everything I’ve ever seen you post about the Russians is true, how do you read these developments?

Russia doesn’t seem to pose much of a threat to Poland unless it is joined by Belarus. Its only territory adjacent to Poland is the Königsberg enclave, which can only be supplied by sea via the Gulf of Finland, flanked by NATO members Estonia and Finland, or by air, which would require overflying NATO member Lithuania.

The poor Poles.

Always wanting to punch above their weight, based on a naive belief that a more powerful nation will ride to the rescue.

First Germany, with the UK over the horizon. Now Russia, with the US on standby.

The idea of “NATO” going to war to back Poland’s play is so absurd - and this is before Germany switches sides.

Sad.

A mistake like the errant Uke missile that landed in Poland a few months back?

“ he does care what China”

No one trusts China. Putin is not an idiot. I wonder if Xi pulled out a tape measure when they were looking at maps during their last meeting—to show how much closer Siberia is to Beijing than it is to Moscow?

Anyone thinking they are Allies is a fool. China has no allies.

Right, wrong or indifferent, how do you read these developments? I think we are passed placing blame now.

Punch above their weight? Please explain what Poland did to instigate the German and Russian invasions at the beginning of WWII? Or do you actually believe that the Gleiwitz attack was conducted by Polish soldiers and Operation Himmler is totally made up?

No, I don’t agree, I just like that Trump reactivated V Corps and moved it closer to the Russian threat.

As far as Russia, they have their hands full with their current invasion, they are in no position to draw the anger of the big boys, their focus is on trying not to drown in the mess they are already in and hope to come out of it with something left of their military and government.

I didn’t say they were allies (at least in this thread), but he STILL cares what China thinks, and for obvious reasons.

You are probably right. The Soros indictment of Trump might well have destroyed the only hope the Russians had of avoiding crossing the threshold.

“massively escalate”

The Russian military-industrial complex will not lack for rubles.

With the new alliances Russia is busy creating - Iran, India, China, possibly SA - they won’t have to attack anyone. They’ll bring Europe to its knees without a shot.
