Secession is not war. A war can came after secession but it may not.
I was responding to the poster who said any civil war would be neighbor against neighbor; I agreed with that poster.
You responded to my agreement with something about Utah being at war with itself, to which I responded that such a civil war would be a free-for-all, with Mormons and California transplants and everyone else all fighting each other.
Your response to that was that Utah and its governor would still be in charge, with the snarky postscript, “Get it?”
I said you had no idea what a civil war was.
You then said secession was not a war, but could lead to war.
I said nothing about secession. I was merely addressing what a real civil war entailed, which is – literally – neighbor vs neighbor, and sometimes even family member vs family member. Real civil wars tend to be internal: Think Rwanda.
