Was that a location for the Blues Brothers movie? I know they did a shot in Wauconda.

Roof collapses during the concert of the band Morbid Angel at the Apollo Theater in Belvidere, Illinois f
We must ban rooves. Collapsing rooves kill more people than hiccups do, so we need to regulate who can have roofs and who can’t! We need sensible roof laws now! Rooves are deadly. Rooves are weapons of mass destruction. Assault roofs have to go, now. Not one more life lost to collapsing rooves!
NO ONE NEEDS A ROOF!
Looks like it fell right down in front of the stage.
Roof control.
I don’t know where that movie was shot.
You know in the Midwest tornado season is not a surprise. They literally were talking about this all day yesterday. They had all the warning in the world that there were dangerous storms coming. Why the hell was anyone out last night in these areas. During hurricanes the eastern seaboard takes it seriously and manages the stay inside and maximize survival.
So much for personal responsibility.
Was this the legendary Apollo theater that used to be famous for developing rhythm and blues acts? James Brown, Aretha Franklin and the Supremes were just a few of the acts who started there.
What is perplexing is that they knew they were in the path of the tornado for hours. I’m 40 miles away and sirens were going off. Why didn’t they stop the concert, clear the place out?
The legendary Apollo is in NYC.
When the winds howled and the hail slammed down hard, they all thought it was just part of the act?
This is most unfortunate.
I’m not sure where that theater is. I don’t think it’s the same. Not the first time for Belvidere. They had a big tornado back in the 60s. Picked up a school bus and sprinkled the kids on the playground.
Was it an assault roof?
climate change or Trump?
“The bands were: Revocation, Morbid Angel, and Skeletal Remains.”
At least the show lived up to the names of their acts.
Just pick one or all. It just depends on how you feel. 😁
No Cradle of Filth? “Try track 4: ‘Coffin Fodder’ It sounds horrible but it’s actually quite beautiful.”
Mr. Mercat and I went to a John McLaughlin concert there in the 70s. It was way oversold, the show didn’t start on time, there were hippies burning candles and incense (it’s an all wood venue). We left early.
